fleet week 2008

Today is the last week of Fleet Week here in New York. Seeing all the sailors in their white attire reminded me of my favorite musical On the Town starring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. The movie features great songs like "New York, New York" and fantastic dancing. They also go to the Museum of Natural History which is right across the street from my future apartment.

I really enjoy circus themes, even though they are done frequently. Meisel has outdone himself with this set. One of my favorites being the one with Karen in the ape suit. I love how under the suit she's wearing a gorgeous avant garde number. I also enjoy the range of facial expressions seen on everyone in these phots.
